Watch our new video on the South Africa Bukhali HeLTI project.
HeLTI was developed to address the increasing burden of non-communicable diseases, including obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and poor mental health around the world.
There are four separate but harmonized projects in Soweto, South Africa, Mysore, India, Shanghai, China, and virtually across Canada. All projects are focused on developing evidence-based interventions that span from pre-conception across pregnancy and into the postnatal period with a goal of improving maternal, infant and child health.
Great News! The Bukhali HeLTI South Africa study has released a new video about the project. This study addresses health challenges faced by women in South Africa through an 18-month community health worker intervention aimed at improving maternal and child health from preconception to post-delivery.
