Topic: DOHaD research in Mysore and challenges in longitudinal studies

Brief Description: This presentation will cover the evidence for intergenerational programming of NCDs generated from the longitudinal studies in Mysore involving two birth cohorts - the Mysore Birth Records Study, a group of men and women born in the Holdsworth Memorial Hospital between 1934 and 1955; and the Parthenon Cohort, a group of men and women born in the same hospital during 1997-98. It will also cover some of the challenges faced in maintaining longitudinal cohorts.
